A manga exclusive inspired by our signature Lola bag, the Burberry x Blue Period collaboration introduces Lola, an originally drawn character by Tsubasa Yamaguchi.

Channelling the attitude of the Lola bag, Yamaguchi’s one-off tale continues to be shaped by the values of the Blue Period series and depicts an emotional journey in which Yatora and Ryuji meet with and become inspired by a new character, Lola.

The comic is available now to read online, with a complimentary limited-edition hard copy issue available to visitors of the Burberry stores in Japan listed below while stocks last. Find an exclusive wallpaper on our Line account from 20 August and visit our Omotesando store to discover a Blue Period takeover including an exhibition of the comic until 5 September.
‘I’ve watched Burberry being featured on TV since I was a child, and it is one of those brands that I not only feel familiar with but also admire.
That’s why I was really surprised to be offered this opportunity to collaborate. When the discussion progressed and the collaboration was decided, I once again thought deeply about why Blue Period was selected. And then, I came to think about the things that only manga can do – those are the things that I must do.
Since Burberry is a brand that I admire, I tried to work in the same way as usual. I felt that doing so is the best way to show my respect towards Burberry and I hope this feeling also gets conveyed to Burberry fans.’
